Lovina offers black volcanic sand beaches, calm waters, and adequate snorkeling opportunities. Popular with European travelers, Lovina is a stretch of beach side villages. Starting in Singaraja and working Westwards; Pemoran, Tukad, Mungga, Anturan, Kalibukbuk, Kaliasem and Temukus.

The main area is at Kalibukbuk that is 10km from Singaraja. Dolphin tours are popular. You will see dolphins although the constant touting of these tours will grate your nerves.

There are many restaurants to choose from, as are spas. The spas are spartan compared to those in Ubud or Seminyak, but generally hit all the right spots.

Lovina allows you to visit all the places of interest on the North Coast. Yeh Sanih is a public pool. Waters are fed from river channels that flow to the open sea. Sangsit has a pura with the usual hell scenes about punishment in the afterlife. Gitgit is a lovely waterfall to visit on a weekday. Sculptured pools allow for lazy afternoons and picnics.
