$. The Bali Sorgawi is one of the better budget choices. The hotel offers clean rooms with a swimming pool in an area complete with restaurants and shopping.

With classical Balinese décor, the 4m by 4m rooms are air-conditioned. Toilets and showers were spotless when we visited. There are TVs in each room but no cable. Being away from the main drag also means a little more peace and quiet.

The Bali Sorgawi does have its own mid sized pool, bar and lounge. The Bar and lounge are a little small so most guests simply go out to party. It is still handy for a quick sundowner. The hotel offers good in room massages and has a small fitness center.

A short stroll outside presents the usual endless array of choices.
