$$. The newly renovated Santosa Villas & Resort in Lombok is one of the best 4 Star Hotels In Lombok. Located on the main tourist town of Senggigi , it is 20 minutes from the Airport and a short stroll to the main drag with its restaurants, bars and cafes.
The Santosa has 125 Terrace rooms, 30 Deluxe rooms, 4 Villas with their own swimming pools and 3 President suites The rooms are modern and have all that you will expect in a 4 star resort They are comfortable although the private villas are clearly a cut above the rest.
The Hotel has tennis courts, facilities to play table tennis, beach volleyball, and a house reef for snorkeling, diving, and a games room. The outdoor swimming is an absolute joy and is one of the best in Lombok. There is lots of shade and the free form pool never feels too crowded.
The only disappointment is the beach outside the Hotel. It is occupied by a working community of fishermen. Although an opportunity to meet the local population, I would rather have had some privacy to laze on the beach. Otherwise, the sunsets against Gunung Agung in Bali, are spectacular from the beach.
